HERA (OR JUNO, IF YOU PREFER)

She was Hera to the ancient Greeks, Juno to the ancient Romans. Both cultures revered her as the patroness of women, marriage and childbirth. My one-of-a-kind art doll represents the goddess in all her splendor, with a white gown, dark blue satin sash, and gold sandals, crown and sash. Her turquoise earrings and scarf pin are made of old jewelry findings.  She holds a fan made of a real peacock feather. (The peacock was one of the animals sacred to the goddess.)

This doll is currently for sale in my Etsy shop.
