Boudicca, Warrior Queen of the Iceni

Boudicca (Boadicea to the Romans) was the warrior queen of the Iceni tribe of ancient Britain. My ooak version of the bellicose lady is Super Sculpey over a wire-and-foil armature on a wooden base. She holds a Celtic-style shield and sword. According to legend, Boudicca released a wild hare and observed its movements to divine the outcome of major battles. The bunny at her feet is a nod to that practice.
